Winter is a time of reflection. Short days. Long nights. Stark snow. Wood stoves. This season delivers us the opportunity to look inward and explore the recesses of our inner selves.
This winter, Abundance NC is getting cozy and pensive. We’re lining up some serious thought leaders in the Triangle who are willing to share their wisdom and direct round-table discussions on all things perplexing, abstract…. intangible. Grab your slippers, bundle up, and join us in looking inward.
Yes. Hot Toddies will be served. 21 and up only.
SOLAR BATTERY DEMYSTIFICATION led by David Delvecchio
Energy storage is back in the headlines! Remember batteries? It’s called energy storage now! Tesla’s PowerWall and plug-in hybrid/electric cars are feeding the buzz about batteries. The utilities are even in the game with load shifting, peak demand, and other nebulous expressions (and additional bill charges). Batteries are back in a big way and they will not be going anywhere soon except toward greater acceptance and deployment.
All this ‘buzz’ can translate into much misinformation and confusion. Come and join us for an informative discussion about the Truth of batteries in solar and other applications.
We will demystify the stories/news/internet b.s. that has flooded our news sources.
What can batteries do for me right now and in the near future? Where is battery technology now? Costs, performance, and functionality of battery systems will be dissected and clarified.
So whether you live off grid already, drive a hybrid car, or want to see how batteries can be installed in your home or added to your current PV system, please join us for what will indeed be a very educational, entertaining, and stimulating afternoon with a local battery guru and seasoned instructor.
Pre-registration is suggested.
David Delvecchio will also be teaching a full day, hands-on Self-Sufficiency and Solar workshop in May!
