As the NC Sustainable Energy Association's Regulatory & Policy Analyst, Daniel works with NCSEA’s regulatory team in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to renewable energy-and energy efficiency-related regulatory developments at the NC Utilities Commission and at other governmental venues with jurisdiction over sustainable energy. Daniel also assists NCSEA's other teams with projects requiring energy policy analysis and his direct experience in the sustainable energy field.

Prior to joining NCSEA, Daniel was an Emerging Leaders Fellow at NC State University's Institute for Emerging Issues. Some of Daniel's past experiences in the sustainable energy field include working as an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a Project Coordinator for the NC Weatherization Assistance Program, a Solar Technician and Crew Leader for Yes! Solar Solutions, and as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the PIRG Energy Service Corps. He also holds a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University
