Mike is NCSEA’s Director of Strategic Partnerships. He identifies, develops and sustains strategic partnerships that will enable the NC Sustainable Energy Association, its members and its stakeholders to grow clean energy opportunities throughout the North Carolina and the Southeast region. Mike educates our diverse stakeholder base on NCSEA’s mission, current priorities and initiatives, and looks for ways to build and strengthen collaboration with existing and potential members, business leaders, key stakeholders and professional/community organizations.

In addition to clean energy, Mike has expertise in sustainable building practices, urban development and historic preservation. Prior to joining NCSEA, he was the Charlotte Business Manager for Southern Energy Management and Project Manager/Business Development Manager with the Conformity Corporation.

Mike has served on the UNC Solar Decathlon Steering Committee, and is currently a member of USGBC NC’s Legislative Advocacy Committee, the Advisory Committee of the Central Piedmont Community College Sustainability Program, the Centralina Council for Governments’ “Connect Our Future” Energy Subcommittee and the Sustainability Committee for the Charlotte Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Mike holds a Master of Media Arts from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. from Winthrop University where he majored in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. He is an accredited USGBC LEED® Green Associate, and is an NC Licensed General Contractor and NC Licensed Real Estate Broker.
