The Future of Environmental Protection:An Evening with Gina McCarthy and Janet McCabe

Gina McCarthy, National Climate Advisor to President Biden and EPA Administrator to President Obama, will deliver a public address reflecting lessons learned over a lifetime of service working for the protection of our environment and the promotion of public health. Administrator McCarthy will then join Janet McCabe, EPA Deputy Administrator to President Biden, for a lively conversation on the future of environmental protection, including the opportunities to drive progress at the local and state levels and through cross-sector partnerships. Stan Meiburg, Sabin Center Executive Director and Acting EPA Deputy Administrator to President Obama, will moderate the discussion.

Developed by the nation’s leading clean energy organizations, the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), RE+ reflects an ongoing entrepreneurial approach to renewing best practices across the clean energy landscape as the marketplace evolves. Unlike other industry events, all proceeds from RE+ events support the expansion of the energy industry through SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research and education activities, and extensive advocacy and advisory efforts.

RE+ Southeast brings the region’s clean energy industry together to discuss strategies, market trends in the southeast, policy updates that impact businesses, and numerous networking opportunities to make more connections.

Highly regarded companies and organizations helped make the 2024 event one to remember! RE+ Southeast  will bring together industry leaders and innovators to share ideas and best practices for expanding the southeast’s solar energy market and to network and do business. The two-day program will feature education sessions focusing on a wide range of topics, a show floor with many industry leaders and innovators, and numerous networking opportunities. 

Unlike other industry events, all proceeds from RE+ Southeast support the expansion of the clean energy industry through SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research and education activities, and SEIA’s extensive advocacy efforts.
