AMPlify Appalachia

Save the Date: Our AMPlify Appalachia event will be returning on June 11, 2026! In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Footprint Project, Land of Sky Regional Council of Governments and many other local partners stepped in to deploy solar and battery storage microgrid systems with a focus on restoring power, telecommunications, and clean drinking water to communities across Western North Carolina. In the months since this storm devastated the region, these partners continue to install clean energy solutions, with more than 60 operational battery and solar projects on the ground serving North Carolinians. And as part of plans for long-term regional resilience, the NC Department of Environmental Quality, through the State Energy Office, has also invested in a network of planned stationary microgrids and mobile “Beehive” microgrids in Western and Eastern North Carolina. Even with all of this momentum, the continued recovery needs far outmatch the available resources. Join us for an evening of music at Sierra Nevada’s High Gravity Room to enjoy local artists and support long-term regional recovery through clean energy. Proceeds from this event benefit Footprint Project and Land of Sky Regional Council of Governments and their efforts to serve western North Carolina. The event will also feature short remarks from local leaders and recovery organizations about efforts made to date and future recovery needs that can be supported through clean energy. Developed by the nation’s leading clean energy organizations, the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), RE+ reflects an ongoing entrepreneurial approach to renewing best practices across the clean energy landscape as the marketplace evolves. Unlike other industry events, all proceeds from RE+ events support the expansion of the energy industry through SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research and education activities, and extensive advocacy and advisory efforts.

RE+ Southeast will bring together industry leaders and innovators to share ideas and best practices for expanding the southeast’s solar energy market and to network and do business. The two-day program will feature education sessions focusing on a wide range of topics, a show floor with many industry leaders and innovators, and numerous networking opportunities. Unlike other industry events, all proceeds from RE+ Southeast support the expansion of the clean energy industry through SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research and education activities, and SEIA’s extensive advocacy efforts.
