The NC Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) applauds yesterday’s US Department of Energy announcement of five new Solar Ready Vets training programs, including a program at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC with Fayetteville Technical Community College as the training provider. NCSEA worked with the Energy Department, the NC Military Business Center, and Fayetteville Technical Community College to connect NCSEA’s business members during the program planning process.
Of particular note, NCSEA connected Fayetteville Technical Community College with Everblue, a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business that will provide photovoltaic (PV) training for the students and FTCC instructors for the first three program cohorts. To ensure the NC Solar Ready Vets program serves the needs of the NC solar industry, NCSEA connected another business member, Strata Solar, with Everblue and Fayetteville Technical Community College for utility-scale solar specific curriculum development. NCSEA is proud to have connected existing, national Solar Ready Vets partners with solar industry and others in North Carolina.
Please join NCSEA, the NC Military Business Center, and Fayetteville Technical Community College for an informational roundtable event on May 26th from 1-3pm at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
