Emily Barrett​

Barrett is the Environment & Resilience Director at Central Pines Regional Council, a regional local government serving 47 county and local government members in Wake, Lee, Moore, Durham, Chatham, Orange, and Johnston counties. She has had a more than 20-year career in environmental and sustainability compliance and performance. She is a strong believer in the power of local government collaboration and enjoyed coordinating a strong local government and private sector partnership to conduct the Solarize the Triangle campaigns in 2022 and 2023. She has an M.S. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the School of Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama.
